Research on the Discharge Observation Experiment of Combined Air Gap Based on the Suspended Current Measurement Device
Live-line work of extra and ultra high voltage transmission lines is an important technical means to improve the reliability of power supply in the power grid of China,and there are safety risks in the operation.Linemen form a live-line work combined gap while entering the high voltage wire,and studying the discharge theory of the combined air gap is of great significance for improving the safety of linemen.However,the present research on the discharge observation experi-ment of combined air gap lacks the means to observe the current on floating conductor,which hinders the improvement of discharge theory.Therefore,this paper built a discharge experimental platform with the suspended current measurement device,carried out observation experiments of discharge under impulse,and obtained the current waveform when gap withstand and breakdown.The experiment results show that under a certain impulse,there will be obvious current pulse on the floating conductor regardless of gap withstand or breakdown,which correspond to different physical processes of discharge development;The current waveform obtained by the experiment is consistent with the combined air gap dis-charge images obtained in previous studies.The results further validate the discharge theory of the combined air gap,and provide data support for improving the combined air gap discharge theory and formulating safety protection regulations for live-line work.
