Case Analysis and Treatment of Insulation Damage Fault of Generator Stator Winding in Thermal Power Plant
During the capacity expansion retrofit of generator#2 in an actual thermal power plant, the A-phase winding failed to pass the direct-current leakage and direct-current voltage withstanding tests due to insulation damage fault. The causes of insulation damage in the stator winding were analyzed, and the corresponding on-site swift handling scheme was proposed.Furthermore, the stator's end structure and the fixing method of stator bar were optimized,so as to address the potential hazards of stator bar insulation fault and loosening of stator end tightening wedge, ensuring long-term post-retro-fit reliability of the equipment.
