Automatic Recognition of Transmission Line Tree Obstacles and Individual Trees Based on Airborne LiDAR Point Cloud Data
Due to the high height or close proximity of trees in the transmission line corridor,it is highly likely to cause safety risks such as electrical flashover and power interruption, posing a significant threat to the smooth and efficient op-eration of the power system. Therefore,a single tree automatic recognition method for transmission line tree obstacles based on airborne LiDAR point cloud data is proposed.Using airborne LiDAR technology to collect point cloud data of transmission lines, extracting and fitting terrain surface models of non ground points through optimization processing and iterative least squares interpolation.Based on airborne LiDAR point cloud data, combined with dynamic distance threshold strategy, single trees are automatically identified, and a hierarchical warning mechanism is established to pre-vent tree obstacle risks. The experimental results show that this technology can accurately and efficiently identify trees a-round transmission lines, and the recognition completeness exceeds 90%in all experimental scenarios, which meets the design requirements.
