Differential Evolution Algorithm-based Coordinated Frequency Control of Large-scale New Energy Generation-integrated Electric Systems
In order to reduce coal consumption and gaseous pollution emissions in the operation of large-scale new energy generation-integrated electric systems, this work made a preliminary attempt to employ the differential evolution algorithm into coordinated frequency control. The main efforts entailed were the modeling of frequency control by establis-hing the transfer functions between governor and steam turbine, the introductions of active power balance constraint,fre-quency deviation constraint, and equipment operation constraint to the model, and the realization of complementary,in-terconnected and coordinated control by combining the model with the differential evolution algorithm. The proposed method was indicated through comparative analysis to achieve effective reduction in coal consumption and gaseous pollution emission of the electric system compared with the existing methods.
