Analysis of a Low Pressure Blocked Failure of 1000 kV Circuit Breaker Operating Mechanism
The reliability of the circuit breaker hydraulic mechanism is essential for the safe and stable operation of the power grid, and its failure analysis is indispensable.A low pressure blocked failure of 1000 kV circuit breaker operating mechanism and the process of fault occurrence is briefly explained. The exceptional case about the secondary circuit of the HMB-4/8 breaker is presented, and the cause of the fault is derived from a comprehensive analysis by elaborating the working principle of the circuit breaker hydraulic mechanism and in-depth inspection of the circuit breaker external circuit and internal mechanism. Finally, the switch pressure blocking indication circuit was improved to shorten the troubleshoot-ing time, which has positive significance to improve the reliability of grid operation.
