Rotor Misalignment Model-based Fault-tolerant Control of Drive Systems of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors
In light of the speed fluctuations caused by rotor misalignment faults in the operational process of a permanent magnet synchronous motor drive system, this study dynamically analyzed the rotor misalignment fault.First the mechani-cal relationship of load torque was derived and a torque coupling model for observing the torque load under faulty condi-tions was established.Second a compensation mechanism for the expanded state observer was designed using fault infor-mation provided by the load torque observer to effectively reduce fault-induced fluctuations of load torque and speed.Hence the design has the potential of mitigating the impact of load imbalance faults on the motor drive system and enhancing the system's fault tolerance performance.
