This article explores the safe operation and maintenance measures of rural power grid transmission and distribu-tion lines,aiming to address safety challenges such as aging of the power grid,frequent natural disasters,human damage,and improper maintenance.The study revealed the failure rate and safety issues of rural power grid facilities through in-depth analysis of statistical data.The article discusses in detail the importance of preventive measures such as regular in-spections,predictive maintenance,and environmental monitoring,and emphasizes the necessity of rapid response and e-mergency material reserves in emergency situations.Technological innovation has significantly improved the stability and automation management level of the power grid through the application of intelligent sensors and artificial intelligence mo-nitoring systems.Meanwhile,the article believes that improving the safety awareness and operational skills of staff and residents is equally important for ensuring the safety of the power grid.Case studies have shown that smart grid technolo-gy has significantly improved the power supply reliability of rural power grids,with a decrease in failure rates.However,it also points out the economic and human challenges in implementation,as well as the direction for future improvement.
