Research on control strategy of grid-forming power conversion system based on adaptive impedance
The grid-forming power conversion system has become one of the important equipment for constructing a new type of power system due to its ability to regulate frequency and shave peak, shift peak load, and improve power system support. This article studies the stability of grid-forming power conversion system when connected to the grid.Firstly,a mathematical model for grid-forming power conversion system was established, and the impact on grid stability under different impedance characteristics was analyzed. The research results indicate that when the grid-forming power conversion system adopts traditional virtual synchronous control,it is easy to cause system oscillation when the output impedance changes and connected/offgrid,which is not conducive to achieving seamless switching. In response to the above issues, this article adds adaptive impedance control on the basis of traditional virtual synchronous control.Through simulation verification, this control strategy can achieve impedance adaptation under different grid conditions and seamless switching between connected/offgrid,effectively improving the stability of grid connected systems.
