Current Situation of Soil Nutrient and Analysis of its Variability and Correlation in Eucalyptus Plantations of Guangxi province
Selected 200 soil samples in Eucalyptus plantations of 6 state-owned forest farms of Guangxi province, conducted a determination of the soil nutrients, and analyzed its variability and correlation. By the evaluation of nutrient level and the comparison with background values, the status of the soil nutrients and the effect of planting Eucalyptus were studied. The results were as follows:the CV (coefficient of variability) of available P was the highest, and followed by exchangeable calcium. Those two indicators had comparatively high variability. The CV of pH Value was the least and had lower variability. Other indicators had medium-degree variability. pH Value and exchangeable calcium, total N and total K, hydrolysable N and available K, exchangeable Ca and exchangeable Mg that showed significantly positive correlation. The current situation of soil nutrient in Eucalyptus plantation was consistent with its background values, and showed the deficiency of phosphorus and potassium. Available P, total K and available K were lower compared to the background values.
