AI for Scientific Computing: Cases and Open Questions
Artificial intelligence is shown to be helpful in dealing with the challenges in scientific computing. In the context of AI for scientific computing, the relationship and differences between computational intelligence and intelligent computing are ana-lyzed, and the framework and connotation of AI for scientific computing are provided. Then three specific cases of AI for scientific computing are presented, which include non-convex optimization, structural optimization, and nonlinear equation solving. It shows the general process of integrating artificial intelligence into scientific computing problems. Finally, conclusion and open questions are provided.
