A sliding window maneuver detection method for GEO targets based on CEI measurement
In order to further improve the surveillance and early warning capability of ground tracking stations, the paper proposed a sliding window maneuver detection method for geostationary Earth orbit(GEO)targets based on connected element interferometry(CEI)measurement:CEI-based GEO short-arc orbit determination and orbit prediction were demonstrated, and based on the continuous small thrust and slow orbital fading characteristics of positioning-maintaining maneuvers of GEO satellites,a sliding window quasi-real-time maneuver detection method for GEO targets, especially non-cooperative GEO targets was given;then maneuver detection experiments were carried out using both the simulated and measured CEI data of APSTAR 7 and Zhongxing 10 satellites. Results showed that the east-west maneuver and north-south maneuver captures would be basically consistent with the ignition moments of the satellite engines, and the maneuver detection delay less than 10 min, indicating that the proposed method could help realize the quasi-real-time maneuver warning of GEO targets.
