In order to further evaluate the size of horizontal and vertical velocity in the noise model of GPS time series, and its impact on the error, the paper selected 227 GPS continuous reference stations in the Chinese Mainland from 2010 to 2020 in the north-south,east-west and vertical directions, and conducted noise analysis on coordinate time series in three directions using six noise models or noise combination models. Results showed that the noise models of GPS coordinate time series in Chinese Mainland could be diverse, and the noise models of some stations in different directions be also different,it would be mainly composed of first order Gaussian Markov+random walk noise (GGMWN) and flicker noise+white noise (FNWN);moreover, the noise characteristics of GPS stations near 100°E would illustrate the most significant differences;furthermore, the analysis of the relationship between the noise model and the speed indicated that the noise model would have a relatively small impact on the size and error of the horizontal speed, thus,in practical calculations, the influence of noise on the horizontal speed could be ignored, but it would have a significant impact on the size and error of the vertical speed;in general, considering that the noise model could effectively improve the accuracy of vertical velocity, and it may also change the vertical motion direction of some stations,in practical calculations, the impact of noise on vertical velocity must be considered.
