The Northern Wei Dynasty,which was established by Tuoba Xianbei,started the construction of the costume system from the very beginning of its establishment.Based on ancient literature,compare the stages of social development and combine with the present studies,this article expounds the exploration and practice of emperors represented by Xiaowen Emperor on the establishment of costume system,which went through the development process from initial creation,gradual acceptance and trial of the Han clothing in the middle period,and comprehensive establishment in the later period to form a relatively complete system of sacrifice,court and public clothing.At the same time,the sinicization process of the Northern Wei Dynasty is interpreted from the perspective of clothing research.The essence of the process is the pursuit of the Confucian clothing concept,and the establishment of identity order through the clothing system to realize the orthodox shaping of the main body of Chinese culture.
