Principles,Planning,Preservation:Partnering in Conservation at the Mogao Grottoes
The Dunhuang Academy(DA)and the Getty Conservation Institute(GCI)have worked together effectively under the auspices of the National Cultural Heritage Administration(NACH)for some thirty-five years at the Mogao Grottoes and other sites.Throughout this time,many projects and activities have been undertaken.The guiding precepts for all the undertakings were preservation of the many values of the site through conservation interventions,planning and management,training,research,and developing methodologies that would be widely applicable.
