The DC system is a critical common system in substations,providing working power for station-wide protection and safety automatic devices,as well as stable operating power for control systems.As equipment ag-es and insulation monitoring technology advances,issues with insulation monitoring systems have become more frequent,making it increasingly difficult to meet the demands of the power system.To ensure the safe and stable operation of the DC system,this paper conducts a comprehensive analysis of the current status and existing prob-lems of insulation monitoring systems.By optimizing sensor technology,data collection and transmission tech-nologies,and refining data processing and analysis algorithms,this paper proposes improvements such as opti-mizing ripple monitoring methods using the fast fourier transform algorithm,monitoring AC leakage into DC,and enhancing DC bus monitoring methods.Through field experiments and system simulations,the upgraded system can more accurately monitor changes in insulation status,demonstrating higher reliability and precision compared to traditional systems.This ultimately boosts the overall performance of the insulation monitoring sys-tem,fortifying the reliability and safety of the power system.The paper also delves into key aspects of insulation monitoring system transformation,offering guidance for similar substation renovations.
