To study the influence of mud content on the reinforcement effect of grouting in the fractured zone of tunnel faults, specimens with different mud contents are prepared according to the volume proportion of mud.Their mechanical properties through uniaxial compression tests are analyzed, and the crack evolution law of the specimens during the compression process is recorded by high-speed camera technology. From the perspective of crack propagation, the influence of clay content on the strength of reinforced solids is explored.Research shows that:(1) The strength of adding solid does not necessarily increase with less mud content, and the maxi-mum uniaxial compressive strength is when the mud volume accounts for 1/4 of the test block.(2)The failure process of solid specimens can be divided into two stages.①At the stage of non penetrating aggregate genera-tion,the crack propagation path and total length are positively correlated with compressive strength.②During the stage of through crack generation, the total length of through aggregate cracks is positively correlated with compressive strength, while the correlation between the total length of cracks is very small.
