Study on the Measurement Performance of Inclined Sodar Arrays
The tilt angle of a sodar array significantly influences its measurement accuracy. In this paper,a mathematical model of the radial velocity of the beams is established to quantify the changes in errors of wind speed and direction at various tilt angles.Theoretical simulations indicate that when the array is tilted, the impact of the vertical wind speed component is greater than that of the horizontal wind speed component.Within a tilt of 15°,the model can still measure wind speed and direction with high accuracy.
