Design of Phase-Locked Loop with Low Phase Noise and Broadband Phase Based on Multi-stage Frequency Conversion
To improve the phase noise performance of the output signal of the phase-locked loop,a wideband phase-locked loop with low phase noise characteristics is designed. This phase-locked loop uses comb wave signals of 500 MHz and 4.8 GHz as input signals, which are subjected to multi-stage frequency conversion and filtering before being phase-locked.The test results show that the design has the characteristics of easy implementation, easy debugging, and high reliability. The phase noise at the 10 kHz frequency offset is better than-129 dBc·Hz-1,which meets the design requirements.
