Iterative Jamming State Estimation and Decoding of Polar Codes over Slow Frequency Hopping Channels
Considering applying cyclic redundancy check assisted Polar(CA-Polar)codes in slow frequency hopping spread spectrum(FH-SS)with partial-band interference,soft-output list decoding of Polar codes, the authors propose an iterative receiver with joint jamming state estimation and channel decoding based on cyclic redundancy check-assisted soft-output list decoding of Polar codes. The proposed iterative receiver starts with a Generalized-Ratio-Test(GRT)approach for robustly calculating the channel Log-Likelihood Ratio(LLR),and the estimation of CA-Polar-coded bits with soft-output list decoding is updated for jamming state estimation.Compared with the non-iterative approach, the proposed iterative decoding approach obtains a gain of about 2.4 dB at block error rate(BLER)of 1×10-4 for a(1 024,256+CRC-16)CA-Polar codes.Compared with a rate-1/2(648,324)LDPC codes, the use of(512,256+CRC-8)CA-Polar codes achieves a gain of about 0.2 dB at BLER of 1×10-4.
