Study on the Effect of Removing Dental Plaque in Vitro With Powered Oral Irrigators for Cleaning Appliance
In this study, the effect of removing dental bacteria in vitro with powered oral irrigators was studied.According to T/CPQS E00048.2-2022 Cleaning effect evaluation of hygiene appliances-Part 2:powered oral irrigators:Appendix B:The evaluation test of in vitro plaque removal effect of electric dental punch was carried out on 9 powered oral irrigators with Streptococcus mutans ATCC 25175,Streptococcus sanguis ATCC 10556 and Actinomyces viscosus ATCC 27044 as indicators. The results showed that the 9 powered oral irrigators were tested in this test all met the technical requirements of T/CPQS E00048.2-2022 Evaluation of Cleaning Effect of Oral hygiene Utensils Part 2:Powered oral irrigators for the removal of dental plaque in vitro more than 90%.Two powered oral irrigators had the removal rate in vitro removal of dental plaque>99.9%,the removal rate of one powered oral irrigator was 91.8%,respectively,and the effect of the remaining 6 powered oral irrigators were more than 95%.In the impact test for powered oral irrigators, the maximum impact force is 16.2 g and the minimum impact force is 10.8 g.This study has important reference significance for the evaluation of the production of powered oral irrigators with the effect of removing dental plaque.
