Application Scenarios and Safety Requirements for Control Ports in Smart Lighting
By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of various types of dimming methods,this paper analyzes the main application scenarios of various types of dimming methods.By reviewing the standards in IEC 60598-1:2020 Luminaires-Part 1:General requirements and tests,IEC 61347-1:2015+AMD1:2017 Lamp controlgear-Part 1:General and safety requirements,and IEC 61347-2-13:2014+AMD1:2016 Lamp controlgear-Part 2-13:Particular requirements for d.c.or a.c.supplied electronic controlgear for LED modules,the study aims to understand the safety re-quirements that need to be met by the control ports used in various dimming methods of smart lighting,such as creepage distance,electrical clearance,insulation level,and so on.
