Taking the protection and renovation project of the Unit 3 generator at the Datianhe Power Plant as an example,the paper describes the necessity of generator pro-tection and renovation as well as the principles of protection device selection,providing an in-depth analysis of the reno-vation plan for the generator protection system and offering a reference case for protection system renovation in power plants.
