The abnormal phenomenon investigation and comprehensive analysis of on-site parameters are con-ducted while the possible causes of the rising outlet pressure are investigated one by one,against the abnormal situation of continuously rising of the outlet pressure in circulating water pumps of the synchronous condensers during opera-tion,ultimately,it is determined that the detachment of the spray head in the cooling tower's return water pipe leads to packing debris blocking the filter screen,which is the root cause of the continuous slow rise in outlet pressure.Uti-lizing the opportunity of the annual inspection shutdown of the synchronous condenser,the damaged packing is re-paired,a new spray head is installed,and furthermore,the fixing method of the spray head is improved too,completely eliminating a significant equipment hidden hazard.
