Abstract
Name, as code of person, is a distinctive and interesting kind of proper noun and holds an important position in daily communication. Furthermore, many students are interested in English names. This paper will attempt to analyze English names from its structural characteristics, origin and name system, which give our students a further understanding of English culture.
