Taking a low-voltage distribution station area considering distributed power and nonlinear load as an example,three sign decomposition techniques including empirical mode decomposition,ensemble empirical mode decomposition and intrinsic time decomposition(ITD)are used to analyze and compare the voltage quality of the station area,and the power quality events including voltage sag and nonlinear load input are identified and classified,while comparison is carried out on its classification accuracy.The results show that the three signal decomposition techniques are available to represent the occurrence of various power quality events,and the decomposed modal features are of high classification accuracy.Compared with the other two techniques,intrinsic time decomposition features higher classification accuracy.
