Research Progress on Preparation Technology of Catalysts for Propylene Isotactic Coordination Polymerization and iPP for Capacitor Film Substrate Material
The key technologies for the production of high-end polypropylene, including capacitor film substrate iPP,are the highly active catalysts and the advanced polymerization processes for high isotactic polymerization of propylene. In this paper,an overview of the development of polymerization catalyst for the polypropylene, including highly efficient Ziegler-Natta catalysts, metallocene catalysts and non-metallocene catalysts,is introduced in detail. The prons and cons of such three types of catalysts for synthesis of iPP that is used in the production of capacitors are pointed out.The recent development of the catalysts for olefin polymerization is described.A new theory of introducing electron withdrawing group in the catalytic structure and component which is conductive to improving the catalyst activity and the molecular weight of polyolefin.A new generation of olefin polymerization catalysts, including propylene polymerization catalysts with internal and external electron donors in the same molecule and all-heterocyclic metal-organic catalysts, has been developed.A new concept of the reversible complexing-opening coordination polymerization(RCOCP)for synthesizing olefin block copolymers is proposed.Based on the advanced propylene polymerization process in combination with the strict requirements of technical data of iPP for the capacitor film substrate material, the main factors generating ash from polypropylene powder and grains are analyzed. The new production method that the composite organic solvent washing process is applied before the inactivation of polypropyl-ene powder is set up so to produce the qualified high-end capacitor film substrate iPP.
