In view of a fault case of unbalanced protection of 10kV shunt capacitor bank,it is finally confirmed through on-site diagnostic tests on shunt capacitors,reactors,discharge coils and arresters simulation calculation of unbalanced voltage by the use of PSCAD that the cause of the protection is due to the fault inside the capacitor and the improper setting of the unbalanced protection setting.
