Research on Optimization of Double Slave Strategy for VSC-HVDC Valve Control Based on RTDS Simulation
The double slave fault of valve control in VSC-HVDC transmission is the only fault tripping from the slave system.In order to avoid the tripping due to the incorrect output of the slave system,an optimized double slave judgment strategy is proposed.Firstly,the current valve control structure and double-standby judgment mechanism are analyzed.Then,the double slave judgment strategy is optimized in combination with analysis of the reason of tripping occurred at site.Finally,the RTDS test system is setup in the laboratory for verification.The proposed scheme has been used successfully in Luxi VSC-HVDC project,has provided guarantee for safe and stable operation of VSC-HVDC project and also has a reference value for subsequent VSC-HVDC projects.
