Professor Wang Li examines martial arts literature from a thematic perspective.His research can be classified on ancient Chinese chivalrous culture,modern martial arts novels(Jin Yong included),and comparison between Chinese and foreign martial arts literature.From a cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary perspective to trace its origins,he analyzes its local and foreign sources,such as medieval Chinese Buddhist scriptures and Indian culture,which is of far-reaching significance.His research has greatly expanded the literature accumulation of martial arts literature motifs.
