Regional and Country Studies on China Reports in the English Edition of Tanzania Daily News
This paper inspects the regional characteristics of Tanzania and China,as portrayed in the English Edition of Tanzania Daily News.The coverage predominantly revolves around China's business ties,technical and financial aid,diplomacy,and local news.Regionally,Tanzania is clearly an African/AU member,while China's Asian identity is much less defined.Domestically,Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam are the only key areas in Tanzania,while multiple Chinese provinces participate in the cooperation.Applying the"Four Quadrants"Analysis Paradigm,data position the Sino-Tanzania relationship within Paradigm I,where positive international and bilateral relations enhance economic cooperation.A closer partnership requires further cultural exchange and broader regional cooperation.
