This paper tries to analyze the culture context of Inoue Yasushi's"Works about the Western Regions"from the perspective of literal genealogy.From its cultural atmosphere,the post-war Japanese publishing industry's demand for popular literature,literatur's internal seeking of novelty and change,and the Japanese readers'expectation at that time all called for Inoue Yasushi's"Works about the Western Regions".From the perspective of the cognition,Inoue Yasushi's unusual experience and his perception on the Western Regions are the key factors for his works.
