Discussions on China＇ s Low-Carbon Economic Development
Based on the concept of low-carbon development, the Chinese government has proposed the target of carbon emission reduction by 2020. From the angle of the industrialization process, economic development pattern, international trade and energy resources endowment, this paper analyzes the status quo of China＇s low-carbon economy and the external challenges it faces. This paper proposes that China＇s low-carbon economic development should be based on the national conditions and its strength. While developing and safeguarding the national interests, China should also actively participate in multilateral affairs and shoulder the corresponding international responsibilities.
