Development Situation Analysis of Nuclear Power Abroad and at Home
After Fukushima nuclear accident, the safety of nuclear power has attracted wide concern around the world again. Major nuclear energy utilization countries have conducted a comprehensive safety inspection of the existing nuclear power plants and delayed or canceled approval or construction of some of the nuclear power projects. China also temporarily stopped approval of new nuclear power projects. This paper introduces the current overall situation of nuclear power utilization in the world and the technical characteristics of existing main nuclear reactor models; analyzes the Fukushima nuclear accident and its impacts; summarizes the attitudes and policies towards nuclear power development of major nuclear energy utilization countries in the world; and elaborates the overall situation of nuclear power development and the technical prospects in China.
