Analysis on Status Quo of China＇ s Offshore Wind Power Development
Wind power development is one of the keys of China＇ s new energy development, and the offshore wind power is the new trend of wind power industry. Enormously rich in offshore wind resources, China has suitable conditions for large scale offshore wind power development. Compared with the land-based wind power development, the offshore wind power development is being faced with some new challenges. This paper reviews the status quo and the planning of China＇s offshore wind power installed capacity, and studies the difficulties encountered in offshore wind power projects with a focus on the current policies and the problems existing in the planning, construction and maintenance of the offshore wind projects. The paper also proposes suggestions on accelerating China＇ s offshore wind power development.
