Analysis of Electric Power Demand for Economic Development of Shanxi Province
Abstract： Shanxi Province enjoys enormous richness in energy and resources, particularly in mineral resources. However, as the industrial structure is concentrated and soley dependent on raw matierals, the province＇s economic development is vulnerable to external influences and heavily relies on electric power. The predominance of heavy industry in the economic structure determines a high proportion of industrial power consumption, which exceeds 80% of the total electricity consumption of the society. According to the 12th Five-Year-Plan of Economic and Social Development of Shanxi Province（draft）,Shanxi＇s economy will be doubled by the end of this period （2011-2015）, and the total electricity consumption will amount to 260 TW.h, an increase of114 TW.h compared with the figure 146 TW.h in2010.
