Peroxymonosulfate activation over Fe3O4/CuCo2S4 composites for removal of organic dyes
Fe3O4/CuCo2S4 composite catalysts were prepared by hydrothermal method. The surface morphology and structure of 0.25-Fe3O4/CuCo2S4 were characterized by SEM,XRD and EDS.The peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation in degradation performance of organic dyes in wastewater was investigated. The experimental results showed that the removal rate of 20 mg/L RhB reached 99.5%within 40 min by 200 mg/L PMS and 125 mg/L 0.25-Fe3O4/CuCo2S4 at room temperature.Free radical quenching experiments showed that hydroxyl radical, sulfate radical, singlet oxygen active substances generated by PMS activation of Fe3O4/CuCo2S4 were all involved in degradation of RhB.The cycling experiments showed that the degradation rate of RhB can still reach 94.2%after 4 cycles. It is indicated that Fe3O4/CuCo2S4 composite catalysts possess good reusability and excellent catalytic activity, and are easy to recover.Fe3O4/CuCo2S4 can be used for the treatment of organic water pollution.
