Preparation and electrochemical properties of composite carbon aerogels
Composite carbon aerogels were prepared from resorcinol, formaldehyde and biomass pomelo cotton by freeze-drying and inert atmosphere carbonization treatment. The effects of the precursor growth time on the specific surface area, pore structure and microstructure of the composite carbon aerogel were analyzed, and its electrochemical performance was characterized by galvanostatic charge-discharge method, cyclic voltammetry and AC impedance method. The results showed that the prepared composite carbon aerogel exhibited obvious mesoporous structure with the specific surface area of 323 to 410 m2/g and the pore volume of 0.752 to 0.800 cm3/g.The CA@PC-6 composite carbon aerogel prepared by self-growth for 6 h exhibited high specific surface area of 410 m2/g and excellent electrochemical performance, with a pore size of 11.70 nm,a resistance of 0.704 Ω,and a specific capacitance of 219.97 F/g at a current density of 0.5 A/g.
