Effect of SnO on the structure and properties of ZnO-Sb2O3-P2O5 glass
Using 40P2O5-32.5Sb2O3-27.5ZnO ternary system glass as the base matrix,ZnO-SnO-Sb2O3-P2O glass was prepared by replacing ZnO with SnO starting from the molar ratio of 1%and increasing by 1%each time. The structure and properties of glass were characterized by FT-IR,DTA and dilatometer. The effects of SnO addition on glass formation, structure, thermal expansion coefficient, transition temperature and other properties were studied. The results showed that excessive SnO addition would lead to glass opacity, and the amount of SnO added to the glass studied was up to 3%.O—Sn—O bonds in the glass network structure can be produced by an appropriate amount of SnO addition, and the water resistance of glass can be improved. The transition temperature and expansion coefficient of the glass rise with the increase of SnO.
