Cold spraying process is used to repair the aluminum alloy parts. For the aluminum alloy specimen used in the experiment, the center of the specimen is first machined in order to simulate the defects caused by corrosion, and then the aluminum base powder is repaired by cold spraying. Then the tissue observation, me-chanical property determination and corrosion behavior of the repaired specimen are carried out. The results show that the number of pores and cracks in the repaired area is very small, the average microhardness of the repaired area is 54.5HV, and the tensile strength of the repaired sample is 273.5 MPa. After 1000 h neutral salt spray test, the mass loss rate of cold spray repair sample is lower than that of 7A01 aluminum alloy. The electrochemical test results show that the open circuit potential of the repair region is higher than that of 7A01 aluminum alloy. As a result, the repaired area protects its nearby substrate by corrosion acting as a sacrificial anode. The corrosion resistance of the samples repaired by cold spraying is better than that of 7A01 aluminum alloy. The cold spraying process and aluminum base powder are suitable for the repair of aluminum alloy parts of high-speed train.
