To improve the economy, timeliness and reliability of the transportation, the fuzziness of both travel times and node transshipping times of transportation modes is formulated, and the multimodal routing problem with time window that aims to minimize the transportation costs is accordingly explored.A fuzzy linear pro-gramming model is established for the problem, and the fuzzy chance-constrained programming and fuzzy ex-pected value programming are separately employed to realize the defuzzification of the model to obtain its e-quivalent crisp reformulations that are solvable. It is revealed that compared with the fuzzy expected value pro-gramming,the fuzzy chance-constrained programming makes better tradeoffs between the economy and time reliability of the routing that are conflict with each other, and it is able to provide diverse routing schemes to satisfy the customer various demands on economy and time reliability.
