In order to solve the liquid-solid coupling modal problem,a liquid-solid coupling model for small liquid tank boxes was established using Abaqus finite element analysis software, applying the liquid element,acoustic-solid coupling and added mass methods. These three simulation methods'accuracy and engineering applicability were verified by comparing the modal calculation results with experiment ones.Furthermore, the acoustic and membrane elements were used to model the liquid by taking the flat car+LNG tank box as the research object and considering the compressibility of the liquid and the effect of liquid sloshing. The modal calculation results were compared with experiment ones, concluding that the acoustic-solid coupling method is more suitable for analyzing the liquid-solid coupling modal and liquid sloshing modal characteristics in the complex engineering problems. It is particularly applicable in the later stage of detailed analysis for vehicle structural design models. The engineering case of the LNG tank box demonstrates the complementarity of simu-lation calculation methods and experiment test methods, providing effective guidance for the structural design.
