The relative vibration between the axle box and wheelset during the high-speed train operation has a particular impact on the safe operation of EMU.In order to obtain the influence law of wheel polygon on axle box vibration,a flexible wheelset is established,and the dynamic simulation software SIMPACK is combined to construct a rigid-flexible coupling dynamic model of a certain type of motor vehicle.By taking the German track spectrum as the excitation,the influence of the 10-20 order polygon of the wheel on the dynamic per-formance of the axle box is studied and analyzed based on the polygon model of the flexible wheelset.The vi-bration acceleration and power spectrum of the axle box are analyzed.The relationship between the wheel poly-gon and the axle box vibration is studied.The measure method is proposed reducing the axle box vibration.The results show that the wheel polygon causes the axle box to produce strong vibration,and its vibration char-acteristic frequency is related to the wheel polygon order.The wheel polygon order can be predicted by detec-ting the axle box vibration.
