Research on State-space Nodal Hybrid Transient Simulation for Improving Efficiency
To cope with the double pressure of electromagnetic transient simulation efficiency and solution accuracy in a novel power system,an efficiency improvement algorithm based on a hybrid framework of state-space and nodal analy-sis is studied in this paper.First, based on the state-space nodal(SSN)method,a hybrid simulation algorithm for time-varying network with switch equipment is designed in the EMTP program. The numerical oscillation is damped by the conversion of the numerical method, thus extending the functionality of the EMTP program. Then,a hybrid framework interface simulation algorithm is proposed based on the multi-area Thévenin equivalent method,in which each subsys-tem can freely choose different frameworks according to the circuit characteristics and jointly calculate in a symmetric form. Finally, the results of performance tests verify that the efficiency improvement effect of the SSN method is more obvious for complex systems with multiple switches.
