Transmission line towers with voltage levels exceeding 1000 kV in China are listed as the key development direction for the country's continuous improvement of high transmission capacity and long-distance power transmission in the future;State Grid Corporation of China has put forward technical requirements for hot-dip galvanizing coatings on steel components of iron towers. In order to meet these requirements, this article focuses on the impact of high silicon and phosphorus elements on the quality of hot-dip galvanizing in Q420 C steel in terms of hot-dip galvanizing process and management.Measures such as low-temperature galvanizing, adding aluminum, nickel rare earth alloys to the zinc solution, etc.are adopted;Innovations have been made in acid pickling, solvent assisted plating parameters, zinc liquid purification, and chromium free passivation;Through production practice,it has been shown that the new process management adopted can meet the quality requirements of hot-dip galvanizing for ultra-high voltage iron towers and components,as well as the relevant requirements of the DL/T5300 and DL/T5236 evaluation regulations of the State Grid.
