Study on Prevention and Control of Small Animal Climbing and Foreign Body Lap Tripping Faults in Overhead Lines of Distribution Network
In the 10 kV distribution network overhead line passage of the central urban area, there are often thriving landscape trees and frequent activities of small animals such as squirrels. As a result,it is extremely easy for small animals to climb the distribution network equipment, bite on the insulation cover of the distribution network equipment and overlap with foreign objects such as branches and bird nests, causing distribution network faults and trips, seriously affecting the power supply reliability and service level of the power supply company. This article conducts current research and cause analysis on such problems, and combines practical work to develop prevention and control measures:fully insulated transformation of overhead line equipment in the distribution network and strengthening of refined operation and maintenance management of the distribution network. After practical operation, two comprehensive measures can effectively reduce the number of trips caused by small animal invasion and foreign object overlap, which has reference and promotion value.
