Monitoring Technology and Application of Submarine Cable Operation Status
With the growing global demand for clean energy,the construction of offshore wind farms has gradually become the key to sustainable energy development.As an important part of offshore wind farm,submarine cable undertakes the important task of power transmission.However,the submarine cable is facing the severe test of the Marine environment,such as sea water,waves,submarine terrain,Marine life,etc.,may cause damage to the cable.In addition,there will inevitably be various faults in the operation of submarine cables,such as line short circuit,equipment damage,etc.These faults will have a serious impact on submarine cables,and even cause accidents.Therefore,the realization of monitoring the operating status of submarine cables has become one of the urgent problems to be solved in the current wind power industry.Submarine cable operation status monitoring technology has gradually developed from traditional on-site inspection to intelligent monitoring based on technologies such as the Internet of Things,big data and artificial intelligence,and is developing in a more intelligent,efficient and accurate direction.Based on this,the paper focuses on the analysis of the technology and application of submarine cable operating condition monitoring.
