Analysis and Prevention Measures of Composite Insulator Flashover Fault in 220?kV Overhead Transmission Line
The unique design of composite insulators,consisting of umbrella skirts,core rods,and fittings,demonstrates economy,lightweight,high reliability,and excellent hydrophobicity,making them indispensable in power transmission.Since the introduction of silicone rubber material,composite insulators have significantly improved the anti pollution flashover capability of transmission lines in China.The article introduces the characteristics of composite insulators,takes 220 kV overhead transmission lines as an example to explore the causes of flashover faults of composite insulators,and proposes targeted prevention and control strategies aimed at ensuring the safety and stability of transmission line operation,reducing power grid failures caused by insulator problems,and improving overall power supply reliability.
