A Temperature Calculation Method for Overhead Conductor Based on WOA Optimization Algorithm
The operating temperature of overhead conductors is an important monitoring parameter in the power grid system. This article proposes a temperature calculation method for overhead conductors based on whale optimization algorithm(WOA).The temperature value of the overhead wire is used as the whale position, and the corresponding current carrying capacity is calculated using IEEE standards. The difference between it and the rated current carrying capacity is used as the fitness function, and the optimal whale position is iteratively solved as the final temperature value calculation result. The effectiveness of the proposed method was verified using the calculation examples provided by the IEEE standard. The performance of three heuristic algorithms,WOA,PSO,and GWO,was compared in the experiment. The results showed that the accuracy of WOA algorithm was higher than PSO and GWO,with an average error of only 0.000 01℃and a total error of only 0.000 982℃in 100 sets of temperature calculation results. At the same time, the running time of WOA algorithm was shorter, and the overall performance was the best.
