Zoige plateau wetland is the biggest plateau marsh wetland in China,and also the world's biggest peat bogs.It plays an extremely important role in supplying and maintaining the ecological balance of water conservation of Yellow River up-stream.In addition,it has very close ties with the global climate change and the environment change.Coming up with the emergence of ecological problems,like swamp drought,desertification,soil degradation,the researches of Zoige plateau wetland are paid more and more attention.The advances in the studies of wetland classification and information extraction,wetland biodiversity,wetland soil and wetland greenhouse gases,global change and wetland degradation were reviewed.In the basis the above-mentioned,the authors suggested that strengthening the researches on the process and driving mechanism of wetland degradation,biodiversity of wetland,theory and technology system of degradation and restoration for wetlands will be the focus of future research.
