Impact of Digital Economy on New-Type Urbanization in the Yangtze River Delta:Simultaneous Discussion on the Moderating Effect of Digital Divide
It is of great significance to study the impact of digital economy on the development of new-type urbanization to coor-dinate urban and rural development and promote the development of new-type urbanization.In this paper,the GIS spatial analy-sis methods and spatial econometric model are used to analyze the spatio-temporal patterns of digital economy and new-type ur-banization,and the impact of digital economy on new-type urbanization in the Yangtze River Delta from 2011 to 2020.It is found as follows.① The level of digital economy and new-type urbanization in the Yangtze River Delta showed an upward trend from 2011 to 2020.The digital economy showed a spatial pattern of"high in the south and low in the north,high in the east and low in the west",and the new-type urbanization showed a spatial pattern of"high in the middle and low on both sides".There is a significant spatial positive correlation between digital economy and new-type urbanization in the Yangtze River Delta.② Digital economy has a significant"inverted U-shaped"influence on new-type urbanization and its sub-dimensions of population urbani-zation,economic urbanization and social urbanization,but has no significant influence on ecological urbanization and urban-rural coordinated development.Digital economy has significant nonlinear direct effect and negative spatial spillover effect on the development of new-type urbanization.③ Digital usage divide and digital capability divide will enhance the"inverted U-shaped"influence of digital economy on new-type urbanization.④ Digital economy has a significant"inverted U-shaped"in-fluence on the new-type urbanization of the core cities of the Yangtze River Delta,and a significant promoting effect on the new-type urbanization of other cities in the Yangtze River Delta.The research results provide some ideas and theoretical references for narrowing the digital divide,promoting the steady growth of digital economy and the high-quality development of new-type urbanization.
